Chris Conner

Biography:

CHRIS CONNER (bassist) began playing bass at 15, and began his professional career working with some of the great players on the Toronto scene, including Ed Bickert (guitar), the late Moe Koffman (flute, saxophone), and others of that era.
Relocating to Los Angeles, he continued a jazz career which would thrive for more than three decades since.

He performed in the "Sound of Toronto Jazz" Concert Series as a member of Shox Johnson and the Toronto Jive Bombers  (March 24, 1980) and as co-leader of the Alex Dean / Chris Conner Quartet January 24, 1983).  He formed his namesake Chris Conner Sextet in 1994, and began recording with that group after that.
