Welcome to the Educational component of the Canadian Jazz Archive Online. From here you can access the CJAO Teaching Guide, specifically designed to be used by music educators and students in conjunction with Archive materials.
We invite music educators for grades 5-12 to refer to the Guide to find clear and detailed provincial curriculum correlations as well as suggestions for fun and instructional in-class activities using the wealth of audio, visual and textual material contained in the Archive.
Students interested in jazz education can find out more about what options are available in their provinces by clicking on the Jazz Education link in the Guide's Table of Contents – there you will find a detailed list of secondary, post-secondary and independent institutions across Canada that offer a variety of degree and diploma programs as well as workshops and individual courses.
