Q: “Had you ever decided you’d be a jazz musician?”

A: Fraser McPherson: “It was something as I've said before that it was just... well, you know, all the guys I grew up and guys my age grew up playing that and because we liked doing that, we like playing, we had to be able to do all sorts of things to make a living, you know, be able to read and cut shows in the right style and so forth and...”

Interviewer: “As a professional musician with scales and other directions.”

Fraser McPherson: “Yeah, with some sight reading and if you're a woodwind player like I was doing double, you know, clarinet and flute and all that sort of thing and doing studio work.”
