Q: “Must be fun for you to hear good piano players because you’re such a student of the instrument…”

A: “I love it. I love it and I love to encourage. I think that there is nothing ... there is no greater fun than being a piano player. Just think, here I am, I'm 66 and for all intents and purposes, God willing, I'll be the same when I'm 70 and 80 and I know that you'll be loved nothing more than playing the piano. At 98, he was a good piano player. At 99, he started slowing down a little bit.
